Firstly, I want to apologize for my poor english. I´d like to write in French, but unfortunately my french is even worse than my english. J´mapel Antero et je habit a Finlande. Thats about all the French i remember from my schooldays. Excusez moi!
 
But let´s get to the point:
 
I love rally and rallycars. I also love to paint and draw rallycars. This is a little hobby of mine and i have been painting and drawing cars for about a year now. I would love to hear your thoughts and comments about my work. But i want to stress the fact that I AM NOT A PROFFESIONAL PAINTER! This is my hobby and i work usually at nights after my children have gone to bed...

First of all, “tervetuloa” in here on this forum and congratulations for your great work, you can be proud of yourself.
That is certainly by the fact that you live in a country where the Rally is very popular and with great Champ's.
About your English it’s very good and in any way will be much better than that of the most of French people who are not very gifted for the foreign languages. Eh ! eh!

The painting of the Ford focus is absolutely incredible  
I can really feel the car drifting on the snowy ground.
May i suggest you to add some dust of snow behind the wheels of the Delta S4, as you did for the ford focus .... ?
The scenery and the car are very nice, but it seems that the car doesn't touch the ground.
Else, that's a real great work you're doing during your long nights, alone in front of your big white canvas

As I’m not a professional, I don’t have prints on the paintings I’ve made. All the paintings you see on my website are actually sold. You se, this thing started as a hobby and a friend of mine heard, that I paint and draw as a hobby. He then asked me to do a painting of his dream car (the UR-Quattro).  
 
I also made some drawings for my own joy (the Mini, the SAAB, Loebs old Citroen). I’m a passionate observer of rally and rally sprint and I go watch the competitions as often as I can. I dreamt of some day to be able to paint peoples cars (and rally cars) and once I decided to take some samples of my work with me to a rally sprint. I then walked among the rally cars and rally teams at the race and decided, that I will give it a shot: I will ask three different teams if they would like to have drawings/paintings of their cars made by me. After I had asked two teams I already had two "orders"!! So I never asked a third time! I was already happy!!!  
 
From there on, the thing kind of grew by itself. People who had bought my paintings or drawings told other people and soon there was a need and demand to make my own website. With a little help from my friend I managed to get a website and from that day on I have basically been making paintings/ drawings by order. And when I make a painting or a drawing, I post it on my website...
 
So as I said, all the paintings on my website where ordered to be made and are sold and they all are "one offs", so there wont be duplicates.    
 
Usually I receive a picture or just some ideas of what the "customer" wants to be painted. I then make the painting and send a picture of the finished job to "the customer". Only then will he/she have to decide if he/she is pleased with the result. So in a way I have a kind of "customer guarantee", when I don’t take any money before the painting is actually finished and the result is viewable. Besides, if I would be stupid enough to try to deceit or in some other way lie or do wrong to the "customer", I would very soon be out of business...
 
Never the less, I would still be interested to paint/draw cars outside of Finland. So I do take orders. But as this is new to me, the delivery agreements have to be agreed separately. If anyone is interested, please contact me via my website. After all, this "thread" on this forum was not meant to be anything else, but to showcase my work, not to sell it!!! Honestly!  
 
A few things about the paintings. Most of them are actually made on high quality watercolour paper. This is mainly because the "customers" have ordered so. Maybe this is because a painting made on paper is much cheaper than a painting on canvas. Plus the transportation/delivery by mail is also much cheaper this way. (The paper can be rolled on posted in a tube, or as a "maxi letter". Still, the result is as good as on a painting made on canvas! For example, the Focus AND the Lancia S4 were both made on watercolour paper the size of A3 (approximately 30x45cm). And because this really is a hobby, (not a job) the prices of the paintings aren’t that high. I sold both mentioned paintings for less than 50euros a piece... And I’m totally happy with that!!!  
 
As I have earlier mentioned, I work late at nights. This means, that while I also have to sleep sometimes, the time of finishing a job is quite long. At the moment I have a few orders "on hold" waiting to be done, so I will be busy till the end of March. New orders are taken, but they will be made in the same order I received the orders. I do however make paintings faster and in a different order, if one has an important deadline and the other has not...
 
Those paintings made by Joel Blanc are beautiful!!! I wish I had that kind of talent! You see, my work is not as "airy" and "free" as his is. To complete a painting I have to work hard, by trial and error, and sometimes I have to do and redo a part of a painting many times. I’m not good at "improvising". Instead my style is more of a laborious technical tinkering. I can’t explain this any better, but I do confess that I often need to redo paintings to get them right. I do not have the confidence or the skill to make fast paintings and get them right at once. On the contrary, my working style is pretty slow...
 
Whow, a VERY long message. And all written in English! I am sorry for this, as I know that this is a French forum. But the thing is, that as I see it, Forum-auto is the very best forum when regarding Rally whether it be WRC or old Group B cars...

The NESTE OIL RALLY WRC event in Finland is just about to start so what better time to expose new paintings than this?
 
Here are a few pictures of my newest painting. It's rather large (60cmx90cm) as you can see. In one of the pictures you can see my oldest son.
 
The car is actually a Finnish WRC car owned by a private person. The car has been painted to resemble the Ford's that Carlos Sainz used to drive in the past...
