Hello and Bonjour,

 

I'am sorry , but I can't speak / write in french.

 

We are sourching for some pictures of the winning Mercedes 300 SE

in the Race of 24 hour of Spa Francorchamps 1964.

 

Interesting for us is the different front-mask colors of the Mercedes 300 SE

from Car number 101 and 102.

 

no. 102 - Winner - Robert Crévits (Bel) , Gustave Gosselin (Bel) on Mercedes 300 SE

no. 101 - retired - Alfred Kling ( D ) , Peter Lang ( D ) on Mercedes 300 SE

no. 100 - retired - Eugen Böhringer ( D ) , Dieter Glemser ( D ) on Mercedes 300 SE

 

 

 

The Mercedes 300 SE from Euegen Boehringer ( number 100 ) had a red

front-mask , that we know sure, but the other both car ??

Perhabs somebody looking coincidentally in this tread and can be help

to find the colors of the front-mask's of #101 and #102.

Hello Fossi,for the number 102,winner of the race,and driven by gustave Gosselin & Robert Crevits,the top is yellow,and the nose is blue . It's a mistake,cause on the pictures behind,the top is white...May be they change the colors between the practice and the race? For the number 101,i don't know the colors;sorry.

Your are sure that the top ( Roof ? ) was yellow in the race ?

 

I had spoken with Racedriver Eugen Böhringer last week , he explain me following

out of his remember:

 

No. 100 = red front

 

No. 101 = white front

 

No. 102 = regular normal blue front

 

 

For me it is very interesting to find some colored pictures from

this race, mayby somebody can help more to find it.

I am sorry Klot, but believe me, I can not find the "true" colors on that slightly burnt picture. I do not know if it is a gray, light blue..., and the front, was it orange or red? And to feed confussion, the reproductions from Vitesse, Hobby Classic and Revell: (Pictures from Revell.com; Eugen Böhringer.com and; Hobby Classic.net)
