Alliance with Leading Global Tire Manufacturer - Michelin  
On May 2004, Gajah Tunggal and Michelin had signed business co-operation agreements focused on the manufacture of passenger car tires for Michelin markets and distribution activities in Indonesia. Related to this business co-operation agreements, Michelin had also acquired 10% of the Company's share capital. Under the manufacturing agreement, Gajah Tunggal will manufacture a selected range of Michelin Group's associated brands of car tires (excluding the Michelin brand), including high speed rated tires, for various markets served by Michelin. Under the distribution agreement, Gajah Tunggal will distribute in Indonesia, through its extensive network, a selected range of Michelin Group's passenger car and light truck tires, including Michelin and BFGoodrich brands, for the replacement market.
