DOT = Department of Transportation

DOT des pneus :

"La date de fabrication du pneu, mentionnée en 4 chiffres ; les 2 premiers indiquant la semaine de fabrication et les deux derniers l'année de fabrication.

Exemple : 1702 est un pneu fabriqué lors de la 17e semaine de l'année 2002."

Créée pour le territoire US en 1966, dans un but sécuritaire afin de diminuer les accidents liés à la vétusté des organes mécaniques : Aviation, domaine ferroviaire... automobile etc... elle est apparue sur les pneumatiques en 1968...

Non non, pas d'erreur de ta part, tu avais raison : ce pneu est bien toute saison, il est "M+S"...Et il est souvent testé parmis les pneus hiver par les organismes testeurs de pneus (ADAC, Tcs...) , il est vendu sur les sites de vente, comme étant un pneu hiver...mais je confirme que

"all weather" = toute saison et présenté comme tel sur le site de Nokian...Je n'avais pas fais attention à la dénomination "all weather" et comme j'avais l'habitude de le voir comme un pneu hiver, je suis resté fixer là-dessus...

Bon en réalité il existe le Nokian WR qui est un pneu "hiver" et le NOKIAN WR All weather+ qui lui est un pneu "toute saison" (dont Finou69 parlait)...et effectivement je me suis trompé ... mais il existe 2 modèles ...

Ne pensez pas que tous ces tests peuvent servir pour choisir un pneu plutôt qu'un autre...Ils permettent d'avoir certaines informations par recoupements mais je pense qu'ils ne sont pas du tout fiables pour déterminer la qualité d'un pneu.

Les tests ne peuvent pas reconstituer tout ce qu'endure un pneu, ni son évolution dans le temps car ils sont pour la majorité établis avec des pneus neufs ou juste rodés. Certains pneus accrochent bien au début (après rodage) mais avec l'usure ils peuvent devenir dangeureux...D'autres restent très fiables même arrivés au témoin d'usure... c'est ce qui fait souvent la différence entre les grandes marques (connaissances, maitrise, recherches, capitaux, carcasses, gommes employées, essais, technologies...) et les sous-marques qui arrivées à une certaine usure commencent parfois à montrer leurs faiblesses et leurs limites...L'expérience et l'avis d'un utilisateur est plus crédible car il donne un compte rendu sur l'utilisation du pneu à long terme et dans les conditions de vie réelles...Dans un cas comme dans l'autre, il y a quelques éléments à prendre en considération :

Les éléments de comparaison doivent correspondre à votre dimension et le véhicule correspondre au votre...Les différences de surfaces en contact avec le sol (suivant la taille des pneus), les véhicules équipés d'ABS, d'ESP et ceux qui ne le sont pas...etc...le poids des voitures, la hauteur des pneus, la nature de la chaussée (autoroute, campagne...), les conditions climatiques et géographiques, l'âge et le niveau d'usure des pneus...les caractéristiques spécifiques d'un pneu (renforcement, rebords...), le style de conduite, la motorisation, etc...etc...

Les pneus sont un élément majeur de sécurité (freinage sur le sec et sur le mouillé, aquaplaning...). Des pneus reconnus (P6, P7, ER300, RE720, Primacy, exalto, Premium et eco Contact, Hydragrip, Excellence, sp01, hi-trac...) sont à mon avis les pneus les + fiables et sécurisants...(même constat pour les pneus hiver)...Il est difficile de départager les bons pneus, par contre les pneus médiocres apparaissent clairement sur les tests, par exemple sur les distances parcourrues lors des essais de freinages...

Enfin j'ai remarqué que certains résultats étaient contradictoires dans les tests (années, mode du moment...) et je doute sur leur impartialité et leur objectivité. J'ai aussi parfois retrouvé dans une même liste plusieurs pneus que j'ai utilisé et que je n'aurais pas classé ainsi...

Unité Shore et Shoremètre :

Shore : Unité correspondant à la valeur d'accroche d'un pneu. Plus le shore sera bas, plus le pneu sera adhérent, mais également plus il s'usera vite, au contraire un pneu avec un shore élevé accrochera moins à la route, mais sera plus endurant. (ex: Un pneu de 10 shore offrira une meilleure accroche qu'un pneu de 50 shore, mais le pneu de 50 shore s'usera moins vite que celui en 10 shore)

L'ADAC a modifié un test en y inserrant le Dunlop SP Sport Fastresponse

C'est quand même suspect comme attitude et non professionnel...car cela implique que le Dunlop n'a pas été testé en même temps que les autres ! J'avais ce test (sans le Dunlop) depuis le 27 février, voir le post + haut sur la page...

Les pneumatiques étant un élément de sécurité important qui n'engage que la personne qui les achète, je rappelle que ce sujet a uniquement un caractère informatif ... C'est une mise à disposition incluant les liens directs vers les sites qui publient et parfois même qui réalisent ces essais. Libre à chacun d'interpréter ces éléments et d'avoir son opinion sur le sujet. J'ai moi-même un avis très critique à l'encontre de ces tests (voir un de mes posts en haut de cette page) qui ne restituent pas les conditions réelles de la vie d'un pneumatique, de + ils sont réalisés avec 4 pneus neufs identiques montés sur un même véhicule, rapport qui dans la réalité ne dure pas longtemps, si toutefois vous changez de surcroît les 4 en même temps...Mais il s'agit quand même de comparatifs durant lesquels tous les modèles testés sont soumis approximativement aux mêmes conditions (épreuves et tests / mesures, chronométrage...), il en ressort parfois certains extrêmes évidents comme par exemple les distances de freinage + ou - importantes suivant le modèle. Enfin je tiens à signaler que je ne suis pas un spécialiste en pneumatiques, mes connaissances sont même assez limitées comparées à d'autres membres du forum, mon sujet reste également tout-à-fait objectif, je suis seulement un simple consommateur.

Pour information pour les possesseurs de Mégane II dont le carossage est particulier, mes Goodyear Excellence surclassent les Conti Premium Contact 2 en tenue de route.

Personne ne met en doute les performances des Goodyear excellence. Même sur ce test le TCS l'a noté comme recommandable.

As-tu testé les Continental Premium 2 ? Si oui, quelles sont les différences qui font que tu préfères le Goodyear ?

Oui les Conti Premium 2 étaient mon 1er jeu de pneus.

Ils passent moins vite dans les virage sur le sec comme sur le mouillé que les Excellences. Ils résistent moins bien à l'aquaplanning.

j'ai mis des Goodyear Ultragrip 7 cet hiver (achetés sur 123pneus)

Nickel sur la neige et sur route mouillée et aussi sèche.

mais j'ai 2 pneus à changer sur ma monte été :

il y a une promo chez norauto sur les goodyear hydragrip (ou excellence : je ne sais pas ) : c'est ok ?

ou alors je me tourne vers de Bridgestone Turanza ER300 ou reste en continental ecocontact3 comme sur l'autre train ?

monte : 195/65R15 sur Laguna 1 Dti

(note : monte d'origine Michelin Energy : changé à l'avant à 76500 Kms et l'autre train à aujourd'hui 95000 kms : sculpture > à 3mm)

Salut Patou,

Aucun dans ton choix ne fera 75000 bornes ... Donc tout dépend de ce que tu cherches ... Pourquoi ne pas reprendre des ENERGY ? Sur le NET ils seront approximativement aux mêmes tarifs que les Excellence, ER300 etc... de chez Norauto, voir moins chers...Sinon je n'ai pas de réponse définitive à ta question, cependant dans ta sélection (et dimension) je choisirai le Bridgestone ... mais l'Excellence est bien également.
