Nouvelle Classe C Cabriolet
 

 

 
 Mercedes’ new C-class is a major leap in performance, dynamics and styling over the outgoing version so it’s not surprising that execs are considering expanding the current range. One of these new models could be a convertible version of the C-class, rumored to hit the market late next year as a 2010 model. Positioned below the CLK, the new convertible would feature two doors and is likely to adopt a fabric soft-top in order to keep costs low.
 
A new CLK is due at the end of the year, and though this too will be based on the new C-class, it’ll be slightly larger than the sedan and could feature a folding metal hard-top to differentiate it from the cheaper C-class cabrio. The CLK will also get several hand-me-downs from the S-class, including Presafe brake assist, night-vision and the latest COMAND controller.
 
The new C-Class cabrio, as previewed in these latest renderings, would share most of its features with its base sedan cousin. Expect the same interior and features list, as well as the same engine options. The base engine will be a four-cylinder petrol unit producing 156hp (115kW), while the range topper will be powered by Mercedes’ 3.5L V6 mated to a 7G-TRONIC gearbox.
 
If given the green light, the new convertible would likely be available in C63 AMG trim and could potentially spawn an all-new C-Class coupe positioned between the current Sportcoupe and next-gen CLK.

ça serais vraiment super si elle est commercialisé.

Toujours pas de prototypes qui circulent donc rumeurs pour l'instant...

Sans doute un photoshop au vu des clignotants dans les rétros qui ne sont pas comme la version coupé CLC.

Si ça pouvait devenir une alternative au trop cher clk cabrio...

Non je ne pense pas... cet hypothétique Classe C cabrio prendrait trop de part de marché au CLK...

Il y aura peut être une petite concurrente des série 1 cab et A3 cab mais pas pour le moment...

ça serait une bonne concurrente de la 320D cab aussi

Non là c'est la CLK même si à l'époque la base était sur une E

Les deux générations de CLK ont été fait sur la base des classe C.
La CLK (W208) a été fait sur la base la classe C (W202) qui reprend beaucoup d'éléments de la E (W208)
La CLK (W209) est fait sur la base de la classe C (W203), il y a seulement le compteur de la classe E (W211)
 
Les deux CLK reste de la gamme de la classe E.
