I got a Citroen press mail with pics of their new C6. So I was "forced" to do a interpretaion of the classic SM. Have a look:

Non c'est une interprétation qu'il a fait depuis une image de C6

It's not that bad, but as for me the rear should be longer because as it is it has not the same majesty as the original SM.

Maybe it would look just a little better with a shorter front overhang (especially when compared to the rear one)... It would bring more balance to the design IMHO.  But a nice idea indeed.

But I think it's a typical Citroen style element. As seen at the SM and the CX. Citroen should be different.

Mais l'arrière mértrait de moins copier la SM tant en gardant "l'esprit SM".
L'arrière est trop anguleux ...
 
Espérons malgré tout que cela donne des idées à Citroën ...

Indeed, but maybe it's got something to do with the angle you chose or the parallax effect, but it looks like all the car's mass is at the front, while the rear looks diminutive, still that's just my impression...
 
The SM looked more balanced, more like a suction disc on wheels... As for the possibility of a Maserati engine in a Citroën, I reckon that these days the Ferrari management would't even give it a look, alas...

Actually, i don't like it, the rear use to much straight lines whereas C6 use more curved lines.

 
Yes, mais il vient tester la réaction de français sur une voiture française qu'il a modifiée/imaginée... Autant lui répondre, sa démarche est sympathique.

I think it's a very beautiful realisation even if the back looks like the Honda Insight

Non Sm c'est la meilleure Citroen de l'histoire.... quand elle marche.

Très belle réalisation, mais je n'aime pas les Citroen.

A great idea this coupé C6.
 
But why using a Maserati engine?
The V6 3.0 hdi is the right engine for this car.
 
And the style is too close of the SM on the rear. Too nostalgic for me.

Good idea to transformate une C6 in nem SM.
But the SM will never launching.
The precedent version consommated a lot of oil
And the price was big
 
We can hope just a truc : that citroen will give to his C6 a more big engine that the actual V6 3.0 liter, with 230-250 horse

Je viens de voir un sujet sur la C6 dans le jt de fr2, le seul prix que j'ai entendu c'est tenez vous bien! 50000€!!!

Ca sera pas le tarif de base!

The first one would be perfect. If only Citroen could think of that, instaed of making ungly stuff, like C5... I really think this kind of model, can make a golden view of the french brand. But we'd better stop dreaming about that. If Maserati and pininfarina will make this car, it will be very expensive and people will buy Mercedes CLK or some others.
