just got myself a new TURBO magazine (portuguese version) and read the article about these cars...
Mondeo TDCI 130 vs Laguna dCi 120 vs Passat TDI 130 vs C5 HDi 110
 
Final result:
1st - Renault Laguna ... 195 points (€31,680)
2nd - Ford Mondeo ... 187 (€32,409)
3rd - VW Passat ... 185 (€36,776)
4th - Citroen C5 ... 179 (€30,100)

Cars are very expensive in Portugal : 31 000 € for a Laguna :eek:

hehehe this is the second time we're having this conversation about car prices... Laguna V6 3.0 = €50,000 . the higher the engine capacity (in cc) the higher the tax and the final price.

But that's comic because a lot of people purchase car outbroad in France, especially in Spain and Portugal, because they say it's cheaper there. The difference should be the value added Tax :p :p

yes it is true...
if you buy the car here the base price will be lower (cause tax will inflict upon it) so you can import cheaper cars. for us they are really expensive cause we have to pay the tax! DAMN the government.
