Enfin reglé les problèmes de connection , passage des photos ...... et appris à me servir d'un nouvel appareil .....

Superbe ces CORVETTE GTP ,dommage que l'on ai tant de mal à en trouver , idem pour toutes les GTP.

Salut à tous , je me demandais si quelqu'un connait une firme/personne qui réalise des planches de décals correctes sur demande. J'aimerai completer ma collection de c5r/c6r et de nombreuses déco ne sont pas dispo.

 

J'ai trouvé un site au danemark mais ils ne prennent pas de commandes en dessous de 250 pièces.

Hi all,

I have again found some time to pick up the thread again.

I'm currently working on 2 cars.

The Gregg Pickett tube frame corvette and the JLP corvette.

The JLP-corvette is my second attempt to build this car.

See for my earlier attempt this topic.

As you can see from the picture, the bodywork of both cars got heavy changes to get the shape slightly similar to the originals.

The JLP-car got a completely new spoiler, hood, custom side-pods, a new and extended back. Especially the back and side-pods openings were hard to make.

The models probably get a scratch built tube frame and Interior, such as on one of the Pickett-car photos can be seen.

Would anyone interested in these models, take a look at the pictures possibly comment or advice.

I can still change small details.

Especially for the construction of the windscreen pillars and the rear window, I still have no definitive solutions.

I'm not a Corvette specialist, but the heavy transformations you do, are very interesting to follow.

I have some experience with transformations myself, but I use mostly aluminium plates to realise some heavy bodywork.

 

Concerning the windscreen pillars, as I can see on your pictures, the pillars are on the inside of the windscreen ?

If they are, I should make them in metal and glue them between the roof and the fronthood. Like this, it will give some extra strength to the roof.

 

Concerning the rear window, as the window is not cut out of the model yet, it is easy to make the right form with a piece of paper first. Lay the paper on the model and go around the border with a pen.

For the final version, you can use a protection sheet for smartphone screens. You put the paper version on the plastic, and simply cut out.

To put the window on the model, you glue first one side and let dry. After that, you fold the window precisely on its place and let dry. To keep the window on its place while drying, I mostly use some rubber bands.
