Hi guys!

here I am representing a freshly baked 1/18 rally car project  

This time it's a special project for me being a Turkish. The importance of this model is that it belongs to a Turkish rally driver who competed in WRC in 1999.
You may heard of him from earlier years. I am talking about Volkan Isik. He is one of the most important rally drivers in the Turkish rally history with his many Championship titles and his biggest supports to the sports as a tutor, a tire developer and many other important signatures in the Turkish rallying.

I have the honor to share a common title with him which he is the first Turkish rally driver competed in the WRC while he also finished WRC China rally 6th in 1999.
after 9 years, I became the first ever Turkish rally driver competing in the China Rally Championship and China IRC rallies (finished 12th overall)

therefore, I decided to give a try with his Toyota Corolla WRC which he competed in 1999 WRC. I wish I could find some nice photos from WRC China and try to replicate the decals unfortunately, that was not possible. so I go a head with the 1999 Rally Portugal decals, which he finished the rally 7th overall.

He finished the 1999 WRC FIA Team's Cup 2nd place with his co-pilot Erkan Bodur.

I used a 1/18 scale AA Toyota Corolla WRC which I bought in second hand, decals removed.



first step was to get it primed, then paint, decals and finally Clear coated the model...







and here comes one of the most important models of my rally collection. I hope you guys will like it...
